Parallel Technologies (MPT) is a new collaborator of
the GeneSpeed Database. An aspect of this collaboration allows us
to take advantage of MPTs high performance computing cluster based
on their HOWARD™ parallelization technology. This has enabled
us to utilize the complete set of PFAM
domains, currently approaching 8000 individual domains. Due to the
efficiency of MPT's HOWARD™ technology, we were also able to
expand our coverage beyond that of M. musculus to also include
H. sapiens, C. elegans, and D. melanogaster.

The
Future of GeneSpeed Find
out where the GeneSpeed Database is headed. Specifically, we are developing
a sister database called GeneSpeed BetaCell.
This site is a data repository and bioinformatics toolbox containing
analysis tools designed to study how the pancreatic beta cell develops.
This versatile toolset may also be applied to study the development
of other tissues as well.
